2023 PBIS School Bus Driver WINNERS

Over the years, Northstar Bus Lines and American Student Transportation have come up with unique ways to encourage school bus driver’s to practice PBIS on their bus. “PBIS” is short for Positive Behavior Intervention and Support. The idea is by recognizing a students' good behavior it provides encouragement for the student to continue practicing that behavior.

This year, we turned PBIS into a competition with a great award. Both terminals put out a PBIS Box at the Dispatch window for drivers to turn in PBIS slips they wrote for children on the bus.

At the End of the Year BBQs, we choose a winner at each terminal. The reward was $1000.00!!

A big congratulations to Northstar Bus Lines Bus Driver, Linda Brown and American Student Transportation Driver, Dan Bergstrom. We are looking forward to continuing this tradition next school year.
